Our Story

I have always loved candles. I love the ambiance they create and the scent that can fill a room. I never thought that my love for candles would become my passion – or grow into something more.

I don’t recall the exact conversation I had with my daughter, but how my candle journey began will forever be a happy memory.

Somehow the topic of candles came up one night while we were chatting. She had purchased some supplies awhile back to make candles but had not yet used them. It was the beginning of the pandemic and aside from grocery shopping, we were home. So, we decided we would do this “craft” together. We thought it would be fun and it was, but to make a long story short – I will fast forward to the completed candles. Unlit, the candles smelled great! Lit – not so much. The only thing that we could smell was the burning wick. It did not burn great and the wonderful scent we were expecting was just not there. What had gone wrong? We watched a video, it looked easy enough. Ha!

And so, my journey began. It took much longer to get here; there were many regulations that needed to be met, and it challenged me. What started as mere curiosity became a passion. It has been two years since I started down this path. The science behind candle making is complex and there are so many variables to consider in making a candle that is safe, clean burning with a wonderful scent to fill your home. It was not an easy path, but I am thrilled I followed it.
